Join our team and play a crucial role in working directly with customers to deliver production-ready content built on the Shaman platform.
Job description
About Shaman
Shaman is a B2B SaaS content authoring platform purpose-built for pharmaceutical marketing and medical teams. We help leading pharma companies, like Novartis, Takeda, Abbott, and Gilead, produce compliant, high-quality digital content at scale. Our Content Services team works directly with customers to deliver production-ready content built on the Shaman platform, including setting up brand design systems, template systems, and graphics libraries.
The Role
We're looking for a Content Production Specialist for our Content Services team. You'll start as a hands-on production specialist, building and maintaining reusable content templates across Shaman's HTML and canvas-based editors, and handling the digital asset work that underpins our customers' content programs.
Beyond production, you'll take ownership of the planning and quality of incoming content services requests, and help shape and improve the workflows and documentation that make the team run smoothly. As demand grows, you'll coordinate the workstreams of 1–2 external specialists to add capacity where needed.
This is a role with a clear growth path: we're building out the Content Services team, and the right person will have the opportunity to grow into a leadership role.
This is not a graphic design role; it sits at the intersection of digital production, front-end tooling, and asset operations. You're someone who gets things done efficiently, has a sharp eye for detail, and is comfortable working with a mix of visual tools and lightweight scripting to move fast at scale.
Job requirements
What You'll Do
Build and maintain brand design systems and reusable content templates in Shaman Studio and Shaman’s editors (HTML-based and canvas-based), ensuring they meet brand, compliance, and technical requirements
Own the planning and quality of content requests, triaging incoming work, setting priorities, and ensuring deliverables meet brand, compliance, and technical standards before they go out
Shape and improve workflows and documentation - building the processes, templates, and reference material that let the team scale efficiently and consistently
Produce and manipulate digital assets - images, icons, and vector graphics - for use across email, CLM, and other digital content formats
Work with Adobe tools (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Acrobat) for asset preparation and production tasks
Use Figma to interpret design specifications and translate them into production-ready templates
Handle PDF-format content, understanding structure, layers, and export requirements in a pharma context
As capacity needs grow, coordinate the workstreams of 1–2 external specialists, assigning work, reviewing output, and keeping quality consistent
Support quality assurance of templates and assets with meticulous attention to detail
What We're Looking For
Required
Solid understanding of digital asset formats and structure, and how these behave across different output channels. Familiar with channel content requirements.
Strong eye for detail; pixel-level accuracy, consistent spacing, brand alignment
A structured, organized way of working, comfortable planning, prioritizing, and tracking quality across multiple requests
Hands-on experience with HTML layouts, basic understanding of HTML layout rendering, no development background
Practical proficiency with Adobe Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Acrobat) and Figma for content extraction, understanding component structure, and layout production
Fluent in English, both verbal and written. Another language (e.g., Dutch, German, French, Italian, Spanish) is beneficial.
Preferred
Experience improving workflows or documentation, or coordinating the work of others (e.g., freelancers, external vendors, or a small team)
Some comfort with scripting for automation - running or adapting Python scripts, calling APIs, batch-processing files (prior experience matters more than formal coding skills)
Background in pharma, healthcare, or regulated content environments
Exposure to CLM or email content production (Veeva, SFMC, or similar)
